Dressing for the moment, since 2014

LadyOfTheMoon began in 2014 out of a familiar frustration: a wardrobe full of pieces that were nearly right. The dress that only worked for one occasion. The fabric that looked beautiful and creased by lunchtime. The fit that needed a particular bra, a particular shoe, a particular day.

So we started making the opposite — a small collection built around one rule that still holds today: nothing goes into a drop unless we would reach for it on an ordinary Tuesday as happily as at a wedding.

Every style is sampled, worn for a full day, and sent back for changes if it rides up, pulls across the back or creases the moment you sit down. Nothing is signed off on a mannequin.

Fabric comes first and colour second. We look for drape and recovery — the qualities that decide whether a piece still hangs properly after its tenth wear, not just how it photographs on day one.

The pieces we are proudest of are the ones that move: a midi dress that works for the office and then for dinner, a co-ord that separates into two things you already wanted.

That is the whole ambition — clothes that earn their place in your wardrobe rather than waiting in it for the right occasion.
